Courtney Howington was named the 5–8 Grade Teacher of the Year at Rush Strong School for her strong instructional practices and focus on student accountability in mathematics. Charley Cox was selected as Rush Strong School’s Novice Teacher of the Year for her positive impact as a 6th grade social studies teacher early in her career. In her first year at Rush Strong, Charley has demonstrated strong instructional awareness by using frequent informal and formal assessments to check understanding and support student growth. Amber Roach, the school nurse at Rush Strong School, was selected as Staff Member of the Year for her extraordinary compassion, leadership, and service to the entire school community.
